Cutest Girls

When I say that Cutest Girls is a hybrid site I'm mostly talking about its design. It seems caught between wanting to be easy to use and formated for a mobile phone and also look good in a computer's web browser. The result is I think it doesn't work as well on the mobile platforms, though turning the iPod on its side so it had a wider browsing window helped it to look better. Aside from the large width of the site, its usability is unassailable.

I really liked how the buttons and images are big and 'touchable' here. You can easily see where to touch on the screen to browse or open up a set. Even the movie player is optimized for touch, with a large, easy to grab slider for moving around in the scene or rewinding. That sort of attention to the platforms strengths (touchscreen) has huge payoff for users sniffing around the library from their phones.

The site is home to a total of 245 videos. All of these stream in a very good quality H.264 formats, a type of MP4 file for streaming. It works like the Flash streaming players in terms of usability but is better and has the plus of working on iPhones, which Flash doesn't. Video lengths vary but are mostly in the 10 to 15 minute range.

There were 286 picture galleries as well. These averaged from 20 to 30 pictures in a set most of the time. You can browse through them online but there are no downloads. Since the site can be browsed on the computer I was hoping they'd include downloads options but they didn't for the movies or the photos.

You can browse by model, videos and photos. You can also add things to your “favorites” and revisit them with a click. If the browsing setup fails you can always use their search box, but you'll have to type in your custom query. It works pretty well. There were no extras included with a membership.
