Further below, you’ll come across the archive. This is an area of the website that I found particularly impressive. You might be surprised to hear me telling you to avoid the MPEG. Usually, the MPEG video I’ve seen is better than or at least on par with the WMV counterpart, but in this instance, the WMV is far superior. The resolution is the same, but the MPEG video is very pixilated. The WMV option is available to suit 3 speeds. There’s a low, medium and high quality. The low quality is pretty poor and should be avoided. The resolution is just 320 x 240 pixels and the videos are encoded at a bitrate of just 380kbps. The medium videos on the other hand have a resolution of 400 x 300 pixels and are encoded at over 600kbps. The difference in terms of quality is greater than it sounds when reading the specifications. Better still is the high quality option, which has the same 400 x 300 pixel resolution as the medium videos, but with a bitrate of over 1.1Mbps. My only concern with the videos is that there are no files available to watch the full scene as one. They’re only available as clips. But other than that, it’s all good.

The pictures are a let down. Instead of actual photography, the owners of the website offer members screengrabs taken directly from the video. The result is blurry pixilated pictures which personally, I wouldn’t even waste my time on if I were you. Stick to the videos. That’s where the quality in this website is.
