The Classic Porn

The Classic Porn was launched in March 2008 and in the site has amassed a huge collection of over 5,221 titles. One slight annoyance about this site is that each DVD is only available to be downloaded as one single file. So even for the titles with multiple scenes, there's just one video file. Personally, I'd prefer to be able to download individual scenes without having to download the rest of the DVD. But to each their own.

The first thing I did when I logged into The Classic Porn was look for a way to organize the content based on release date. Not by the date it was added to the site, but by the date the titles were originally released. Any retro site worth it's weight should allow you to browse by year and The Classic Porn does just that. By the way, the content in this site dates from as early as 1968 to as late as 1995.

Another key feature is the performer index. This is filled with a staggering 8042 different stars including both male and female performers. This list can only be sorted alphabetically, but you will find links to the 3 most popular male and female performers on the main page of the member's area based on how many times scenes starring them have been viewed. Kay Parker, Traci Lords and Brigitte Lahaie top the female performer lists while Alban Ceray, John Holmes and Peter North lead the way for the male performers. But you'll see all the big names from years gone by like Amber Lynn, Ron Jeremy, Nina Hartley, Samantha Fox, Sharon Mitchell and Randy West to name just a few that came to mind.

Videos are available to be downloaded in AVI format or streamed in flash video. The AVI videos measure 576x432 pixels in size, encoded at about 600kbps. The Flash videos are 576x432 pixels. Scene information includes run-time, year of release, studio, director and of course the names of the various performers. The performer names are all links to the profile pages of those performers, which easily allows you to find other scenes in the website that they've appeared in and also include some in depth bio information. Right now, I'm looking at 'The Young Like It Hot' starring Kay Parker. From there, I can reach her bio page and find other films she has appeared in such as Sex Play, Wild Nights, Intimate Lessons and Private Teacher.
